Wärtsilä VOC recovery system can save tons of fuel each year for two new shuttle tankers

The technology group Wärtsilä will supply its Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) recovery technology, LNG fuel gas handling systems and the auxiliary engines for two new shuttle tankers being built for Singapore based AET Tankers at the Samsung Heavy Industries shipyard in South Korea. The order, worth in total more than 30 MEUR, was booked in January 2018.

Statoil Awards Samsung, KCA Deutag Cat J Contracts

Statoil announced Tuesday that it has awarded Samsung Heavy Industries and KCA Deutag Drilling Norway the contracts to construct and operate to two category J rigs. The rigs will contribute to the increase recovery and extended life of the Oseberg and Gullfaks fields, with operations due to start by the end of 2017.
