Transneft Siberia Receives Energy Management Certificate

Transneft Siberia announced, that the company received the certificate on introduction and application of the energy management system (EnMS) that conforms to ISO 50001:2011 at its facilities.

The document was issued to the joint-stock company by DQS, a global certification authority, based on comprehensive recertification audit held at production facilities of Tyumen Oil Trunk Pipeline Department and in Transneft Siberia administration in April 2016. The comprehensive audit comprised the check of the energy and environmental management systems as well as the occupational health management system (OMHS) for conformity to global and Russian standards.

Transneft Siberia is among the first Transneft affiliates to have introduced the energy management system in 2013. Since then, Transneft Siberia has performed systemic work on analysis and assessment of the extent of its proper operation.

The 2016 audit in the business units of the joint-stock company revealed successful implementation of Transneft energy policy efforts. The auditor highlighted the application by the enterprise of the best-performance technological modes of pipelines as positive factors. The audit proved that the necessary resources, in particular, qualified staff, energy efficient equipment, finance. In addition, the audit proved that Transneft Siberia development program till 2020 and material resources supply program till 2016 contained the provisions that take into account EnMS and energy efficiency requirements.

These factors, taken together, enabled Transneft Siberia to successfully pass the recertification audit of the energy management system and to prove the efficiency of comprehensive EnMS efforts once again.
