Byelorussia Keeps Up With Russia

06 March 2001 , 18:07316
Byelorussia introduced the Russian export rates on oil and petroleum products. This governmental decree came into force from March, 1.
Now the export of 1 ton of crude oil will cost 48 euro. The export duty on diesel fuel is 39 euro, on mazout ? 32 euro.
The experts in the Ministry of finance say the increase of the export rates will not result in the decrease of the oil and petroleum products export from the Republic, since the VAT, which they pay to Russia while exporting the crude oil, will be compensated to the exporters.
