Venesuelian Fuel Doesn't Satisfy Argentina

13 April 2004 , 09:23610
The electricity generation companies of Argentina have warned the government that the fuel of PDVSA, oil company of Venezuela, does not comply with requirements by the Argentinean electricity sector regulator ?Enre?.
Last week the Argentinean government reached a food-for-fuel swap deal with Venezuela to help Argentina to ease the effects of the current energy crisis, supplying one million cubic meters of fuel oil and 150,000 cubic meters of diesel oil to Argentina this year, in exchange for agricultural goods and pipes for the oil industry.
The fuel is to be used to supply Argentinean electricity generation companies during winter.
