Eight Sunk On Capsized Vessel in the North Atlantic

16 April 2007 , 10:39700
The oil-rig vessel that capsized in the North Atlantic on Sunday claiming the lives of eight crew members has sunk, the coastguard said.

A 14-year-old schoolboy on work experience and his father were among the eight victims after the Bourbon Dolphin capsized around 75 miles north west of Shetland on Thursday.

It was initially hoped that authorities would be able to tow the vessel back to shore to look for the five bodies which are still missing.

Three bodies were pulled from the water along with seven survivors from the Norwegian-owned boat.
